Image: It's the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Dog! In the desert, the "dogs"
are well represented by the hardy coyote. Abundant still despite sprawling communities,
this charming canine fills the night with concertoes of howls, yaps and yips
designed to audibly mark territories, find each other...or just have a jolly
good time. Camping in the desert night is a sure way to be rewarded by the desert
sonatas...I almost called the print "the three tenors".
