Image: I received a shipment of boxwood from the Barenmall
in Japan. I guess I was supposed to cut it in the traditional rectangular shapes
of engraving blocks, but instead I fell in love with the irregular natural shapes
of the cross section of the tree. I started thinking about the life of the tree
and how I wish I could "read" the life of this one in the beautiful delicate
rings. A series was born.
This original block is now available as a standing sculpture
with the block for Seeds on the opposite side. I used the same piece of boxwood
for both prints, one on each side of the block. Please contact me if interested
in the original blocks.

You will receive the print unmatted/unframed. After purchasing the print
