Mt Charleston Spring 2005

Once in a while I kidnap my husband and we enjoy our surroundings. On this Memorial Weekend, the choices were either a kayaking trip to the river in 105 degree heat and 20 mph gusts of wind or a cool hike in the mountains. We chose cool, although we never expected to be treading through several feet of snow left over from an early spring avalanche. The trail obliterated, we just hiked aimlessly around enjoying the cool air and the waterfalls.
